Remembered Today:

Funeral at Bedford

Just a quick note to say that the limber and it's attendant artillerymen were probably not Bute nor any of the other Mountain Batteries as they had wagons but no limbers. Also these are 6 team full sized horses and the draft animals for the mountain batteries were ponies upon whose backs their cannons (broken down into pieces) were placed for rapid transport and deployment into areas inaccessible to the limbers and horses of the RFA/RHA. Their officers and their wagons had horses, but I can't recall seeing 6 horse teams on them. This certainly looks (to me) like an infantry funeral with RFA assistance.
