2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards

Recommended Posts

Iam researching 6991 Arthur Tyreman who died on the 28th of April 1915 and is buried in the Guards Cemetery ,Windy Corner Cuinchy. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion and I would appreciate any information on the action this unit was engaged upon at the time of his death .

Many Thanks

Phil Naylor

Hello

There appears to be a Battalion War Diary available to download from the National Archives which covers that date, here is a link.

Do you have his service record yet Phil?

BTW PM means Personal Message, click on Graeme's name and it'll take you to his own page where you'll have the option to send him a PM with your e-mail address, don't post it on the forum.

Coldstream records confirm Killed in Action Givenchy with the 2nd Btn - the war diary (as below) shows one killed (probably by the shelling) and one wounded
