Chris Boonzaier Posted 24 June , 2004 Share Posted 24 June , 2004 I am not really an ammunition collector, but recently I bought a complete 18 pdr shell, and was wondering exactly what the markings meant From top to bottom it has... XB 8960 QF 18 Pdr VII FS VSM 31 3 16 I assume it means 18 Pdr made in march 1916..... but does it mean a whole lot more? Thanks Chris
