Desmond7 Posted 16 January , 2011 Share Posted 16 January , 2011 For my own interest - and cos I couldn't find him on google .. anyone able to fill in any details of a composer called F. M. Marks who is credited with scoring the march 'Ulster Division'? You can hear it with a swift You Tube search ... would love to know if there is a bigger story behind this tune. Ron Clifton Posted 16 January , 2011 Share Posted 16 January , 2011 Hello Des Not a name I recognise, but have you tried contacting the Performing Right Society? They should know of him. Ron
squirrel Posted 16 January , 2011 Share Posted 16 January , 2011 He was Bandmaster of the Royal Irish Fusiliers - written post war I should think. The RIF and/or the RIR Museums might be worth a try to find more about him.
