First volume of the trilogy. Have the other two (possibly more interesting to the WW1 student) been similarly treated?

Unfortunately, no sign of Memoirs of an Infantry Officer, or Sherston's Progress, but will post if ever come across them.

There is TheCompleteMemoirsOfGeorgeSherston is that the same as Sherston's Progress?

It is possible to read it page at a time, and you can copy and paste each page to notepad, then use pdf creator to make a reasonable copy (if you can be bothered)

Sherston's Progress is the last part of the trilogy which comes packaged as "The Complete Memoirs". Covers his life & service after Craiglockhart War Hospital to the end of the war.

Thank you very much for posting this link.

I ought to have read it before but hadn't and it's wonderful - I'll have to buy it (and the others in the trilogy) in proper book form now.

Should make it clear for those new to this that the trilogy are autobiographical novels rather than straight autobiography, some names places etc may not exactly reflect the historical record so that whereas the gist of them is correct they can be used as a gude and not a statement of record
