Tom W. Posted 9 November , 2013 Share Posted 9 November , 2013 I realise that this thread is somewhat old, but given the robust discussion between Centurion and myself on the preceding pages about the nature of the Vickers Crayford 1.59 inch "Rocket" gun, I thought the following would be of interest. To everyone else, maybe. You-know-who once tried to convince me that an Austrian kleine 22l M. 15 Flammenwerfer was an American weapon. I had photos, drawings from Austrian manuals, official descriptions... All to no avail. The decision had been made, and would never be unmade. He offered up nothing in terms of evidence except for his own pronouncement.
TonyE Posted 9 November , 2013 Share Posted 9 November , 2013 Some drawings from the IWM Click Mike I am not sure what that weapon is, but it is not the Vickers Crayford "Rocket" gun discussed here. Unfortunately the resolution is too low to read the descriptions and dimensions but I will try to get a better copy from the IWM. The Vickers Crayford is shown in the pictures attached. Guest Posted 9 November , 2013 Share Posted 9 November , 2013 Well it certainly doesn't look like the same weapon. I haven't a clue what it is either. Mike
