Mark,

Again, many thanks for your posts; all very interesting.  The IWM caption for the first post at #133 is "E (AUS) 3351.  A German machine gunner who stuck at his post and caused many casualties. 19.9.18.  Near Hargicourt.  Ist Brigade A.I.F.

Regards,

Michael.

Two photographies, taken by my grandfather during his officer training course at the "Heeresschule" (Army School) Döberitz in Oct. or Nov. 2016. MG instructor was Oberleutnant Paul. Fähnrich Homeyer is aiming through the ZF 12 scope.

Henry this is fantastic. Is it possible to add/duplicate on the MG08 thread?

Hello Gent’s

I am a trucker/ Big Lorry driver ‘Cross the pond.

I have not been to this museum in many years. Main focus is on Military vehicles from WW 2 to 1970’s and a few newer. I saw this maxim. Thought someone might like. No shield, no telescopic sights, seems pretty basic set up with too much paint

I know little on these

Steve 1871 great photos thanks.  Really good close up imagery.  If you go there again the Museum should be told to take the 'candle snuffer'' off of the muzzle!!!!!!

Could I ask that the Moderator puts this post into the MG08 thread.
