Skipman Posted 6 December , 2010 Share Posted 6 December , 2010 Unsure if this is complete, or if it's been posted before ( I did a search and didn't find it?) Volume 1-8 of The Illustrated war news. It includes this fantastic photograph of the mine crater at La Boiselle not long after it was blown. Would this be Lochnagar or Y sap? Vol 1 Vol 2 Vol 3 Vol 4 Vol5 Vol 6 Vol 7 Vol 8 Mike

keithfazzani Posted 6 December , 2010 Share Posted 6 December , 2010 Mike thanks for the posts highlighting these and other excellent publications available for download. I wonder if you could help me a complete non techie. When I visit the site I see a choice of download formats, I have no idea which to use, I simply wish to download to my PC for reference. When I visit the help pages I find that these simply confuse, can you point me in the right direction. Incidentally there was a complete set of these in our common room at school, and I spent many a happy evening perusing them. I wonder what happened to them, probably got thrown out at some point. Click on pdf, and you can download the whole (colour version) of the book, and save it to your documents. Click B/W pdf, and you can download a black and white version, which takes less time to download and is fine if you just want to read the text. Feel free to pm me if I can help further. Glad you are enjoying the books. Cheers Mike PS You can search pdf files once you have downloaded them, very useful.
