keggy65 Posted 29 November , 2010 Share Posted 29 November , 2010 Dear All I've been away for some time due to ill health but am now well enough to continue research. I'm looking for any information on Canadian troops who were fighting in the (vaguely) Rimini region of Italy. My relative, who died on 1 September 1944, is buried at the above Cemetery. He emigrated to Canada (I don't know when)and served with the Perth Regiment, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps (A/11232,1st Canadian Division). His name was James Redfern, born 1919 in Belfast, may have lived in the Barrow area of Lancashire. Trying to get records from Canada appears to be a horrendously expensive ordeal - and a very confusing exercise. Any information on what the Perth Regiment was doing around this time and and other details of the campaign in this region would be very welcome. Thank you. keggy65 Posted 29 November , 2010 Author Share Posted 29 November , 2010 Sorry forumites - my brain has been addled by the ops, procedures, x-rays etc of late and I've stupidly posted a WW2 query. Please ignore. Mabel
