Guest dwin64 Posted 16 November , 2010 Posted 16 November , 2010 Hi, This is my first post and I would really appreciate any help that anyone has to offer. My Granddad served with the South Lancashire Regiment during 1914-18, but that's about all I know. I have found his medal index card and read the stuff on The Long, Long Trail about interpreting it, but it doesn't reveal a lot. There do not appear to be any other military records for him, so I assume they were part of those which were destroyed. Any thoughts on how I can find out more? Thanks, David
John_Hartley Posted 16 November , 2010 Posted 16 November , 2010 Any thoughts on how I can find out more? Yep. Very much recommend you read the "researching a soldier" link as suggested at the top of this page. All your answers should be there. John
Hywyn Posted 16 November , 2010 Posted 16 November , 2010 David Also try posting his name and number and where he was from in case anyone is researching that particular area. Hywyn
