GRANVILLE Posted 12 November , 2010 Posted 12 November , 2010 This information is all I have to work with - as supplied by another kind forum member. I am subscribed to Ancestory, but seem incapable of getting much out of it. Can anyone advise on how I can use it to extract a little more information on this particlar chap? Dave
Verrico2009 Posted 12 November , 2010 Posted 12 November , 2010 Ernest Humber - entry on CWGC MIC shows he arrived in the theatre of war on 5 October 1914. Could he be a pre-war regular? As you subscribe to Ancestry, you could try looking at Soldiers Died in the Great War section: often gives birthplace and where they enlisted.
