Remembered Today:

Belfast (Dundonald) Cemetery

Nigel Marshall

Recommended Posts

Dundonald Cemetery is large cemetery on the outskirts of Belfast and was opened in 1905 to relieve pressure on the existing cemeteries in the city.

A large number of Great War burials are scattered throughout this well kept and peaceful site.

As well as the casualties of war there are numerous burials of people important to the history of Northern Ireland and is well worth a visit.

The Cemetery will be found on the south side of the A20 Belfast - Newtownards road between the Ulster Hospital and the Stormont Estate.

The Cross of Sacrifice.
