Guest lesley Posted 10 March , 2003 Share Posted 10 March , 2003 When in Prague we visited the only WW1 burial in the CWG cemetery. We could find out very little about the soldier, Pte. Claude George of 2nd btn. OBLI. when we enquired at the regimental museum as to how he ended up in Prague we were told he had been travelling on secret service, where he was taken prisoner. Does anyone know anything about secret intelligence in the Great War? What might his role have been? and why send a lowly private?
