What does L.O.C. mean?

I am just going through the NZEF Army Records which I have on the 93 men who are buried at Brockenhurst.

I have come across the abbreviation L.O.C. for a soldier who embarked on H.T. "Simla" at Alexandria ", "for L.O.C. only" and rejoined his unit at Lemnos on 15 October 1915. Can anyone help please.
