Guest Graham Posted 3 November , 2002 Share Posted 3 November , 2002 I have been looking into my Great Grandfathers service in World War One and recently discovered what appears to have been a page from his pay book which gives the following information: Private John Norman Botham. 14th Bn Northumberland Fusileers Army Number 65810. Also according to my Grandparents, Gt Grandad ran off to Newcastle in 1914 to join up. Any advise & other sources to search would be most useful. Chris_Baker Posted 3 November , 2002 Share Posted 3 November , 2002 My Great-Uncle Jim McSloy was in the 14th NF. I have a copy of their war diary and I presume that would be of interest. Please message me and we can discuss the best way to deal with it.
