I am really proud to host "Harry's Africa",

as I said to Harry,

I like the obscure, exotic, three men and a donkey kind of units… IMHO so much more interesting than „23rd version of the 1st day of the Somme“ stuff that infests the net

The major strength of Harry’s Africa is that it is stuff you will find nowhere else, it is not “made for the masses” it is “made for the explorer” .

You probably won’t find your great uncles battalion, but you will find a story that you have never heard before.

First of all, thanks Chris for hosting Harry' articles. To Harry, I look forward to your unique, well researched, and informative articles on the African continent during WW1.

You continue to fuel my keen interest in the German East African Campaign during WW1.
