GlenBanna Posted 18 July , 2010 Share Posted 18 July , 2010 I have seen some excellent threads on this site superimposing "now and then" photos. Todays sunday Times Magazine has an article on historypin.com which members may find interesting. Not much on ww1 yet but the site looks like it has potential. b3rn Posted 17 December , 2011 Share Posted 17 December , 2011 Just a bump. Historypin is fantastic and developing all the time. It really comes into its own with the mobile app - you can view historic photos superimposed on the camera view from your phone, with a slider to alter the opacity ... simple and powerful. Still not many 1914-1918 photos but good place for 'then and now' enthusiasts to pin their photos.
Guest Posted 17 December , 2011 Share Posted 17 December , 2011 Historypin.com Edit: I could not get link to work either? Something wrong with URL? Looks interesting, will get the hang of it. Cheers Mike
b3rn Posted 17 December , 2011 Share Posted 17 December , 2011 Hey Mike just go to Historypin.com, click on "Map", then - on the slider - adjust the start date to 1914 and the end date to, say, 1919 ... then head over to France and Belgium
