Max Posted 2 June , 2004 Share Posted 2 June , 2004 Hello Everyone, I have read, re-read and then read again all the information that has appeared at various times on the mother site regarding reservists and the order in which they were drafted and can say that, despite my better efforts, I am still completely confused. I sort of understand in what order the various reserve sections would have been drafted to the front line regular Battalions. To help me understand better, could someone with a far greater grasp of this subject than I please tell me if it was likely/probable that a raw recruit who enlisted at the outbreak of the war would be sent to the regular battalions in F & F before either a Section D or a Special Reservist. Hoping for an end to my confusion, Andy

Desmond7 Posted 3 June , 2004 Share Posted 3 June , 2004 Pull yourself together man .. I don't know if this will help but .... in general terms, all 'my' 1914 era reservists are in action with regiments in F & F in pretty short order after outbreak of war. Therefore raw recruit much less likely to be in the field? Des
