MaureenE Posted 27 February , 2016 Share Posted 27 February , 2016 For those who may be interested, the records in post 6 , transcribed from the London Metropolitan Archives, are in http://levantineheritage.com/pdf/london.pdf The names as detailed in post 7, are on the CWGC website, and show a concentration record, which indicates they were originally buried at the Smyrna Anglican Cemetery, Caravan Bridge, (which differs from the original records which indicated they were buried in the camp ground, Paradise) and exhumed and reburied in Baghdad . The record which could not be traced posts 6/7 was either originally recorded incorrectly, or transcribed incorrectly and is Leonard Thomas Manley Rank: Private Service No: 203660 Regiment/Service: Royal Welsh Fusiliers 1st/6th Bn Date of Death:16/10/1918 (Concentration document: 17/10/18) http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/634384/MANLEY,%20LEONARD%20THOMAS There is a GWF thread called Prisoners of the Turks which has general information about POWs in Turkey http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209601 Cheers Maureen
