In case you fellows are not aware of it, here is a link to a great website that helps you date your buttons......it is self- explanatory.

Cheers, Bill

Over the past year I have bought a few Royal Scots Fusiliers buttons with the King's Crown, but was sometimes unable to distinguish between WW1 and WW2. The above website, in the link posted by Bill, lists which companies were manufacturing buttons when, and which markings they were using - it has proved incredibly useful.

It also come in handy when trying to determine if an officer's shoulder rank tunic is WW1 or WW2. Cheers, Bill
