Can anyone tell me which regiments formed the 9th Division in the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt in the Battle of Loos please?

Atleast the 73rd Brigade (including the 7th Northamptons) were detached from their division and sent in to reinforce the Scots. They had never been in trenches before. They had never even been under fire until their march up to Vermelles. When they took their turn in attacking the Redoubt they lost nearly half their number.

Thanks for that, am I right in assuming the 9th was an all Scottish affair?

malcolm,

Thanks for that, I have to confess I didn't realise that there was so much detail on the battle on this site.

As you and my good lady wife would say...Aye
