The photo of the Canadian Memorial entrance at Courcelette shows a quiet road!

It looks like you had a good trip. Thanks for showing your photos. They bring back memories of a few of my trips, not just the one last March.

Bob, Rick & Nigel. Thanks for your comments. They are really appreciated.

Nigel, the trip was excellent. Just as you had pointed out, the Albert - Bapaume road was extremely busy. However, using your advice I made it to Courcelette in one piece. After visiting Bapaume Post I crossed over and walked facing the on coming traffic, keeping well into the left of the verge(s). I just got lucky with the photo at the Canadian Memorial and snapped it during a break in the traffic.
