shinglma Posted 30 May , 2004 Author Share Posted 30 May , 2004 Terry Not for the first time I am in your debt. Now I've got the right surname I can find KEMP however KING still eludes me - I have tried searching on E KING and E J KING and it does not seem to bring him up. Did you find him searching on surname and initials or by another method (eg service number)? Thanks Mike
roger Posted 30 May , 2004 Share Posted 30 May , 2004 Mike, Hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread but I can't find LCpl. Arthur Cawkell MM 2/Yorkshire regt. on CWGC. In fact there's only one Cawkell. Thanks, Roger.
Terry Denham Posted 30 May , 2004 Share Posted 30 May , 2004 Mike Try looking under F.J.KING. This was a scanning error which was corrected by CWGC after last June when the internet copy of the CWGC database was taken and so does not yet show up. In the original register the letter 'E' is broken and looks like an 'F'.
