Alice Springs WW1 Roll of Honour

I was passing through Alice Springs Australia on my way to Ayers Rock (Uluru) recently and came upon the following Roll of Honour board in the local RSL. From the minimal research I have done it appears that the men served and did not necessarily die during the war. It may be of interest to someone.

Prom,

Hope you enjoyed your trip, lived there for three years around 1970. Note that there were not many names for the GW but have to consider that at that time

The Alice was only a collection of shacks. Even in 1970 the permanent population was only about 7,500. Has expanded quite a lot now though. Note one famous NT

name, that of Killgariff (only died recently) was virtually the king of the NT in his time, politician, Chief minister and member of the Australian parliament.

Just guessing and before he wakes up to reply in person!

I believe it's still the 1939-1945 List, as it's followed by Names for Korean War..... those with (K) next to them didn't make it back, I guess.....

Best to wait for confirmation though!
