philrigger Posted 8 June , 2010 Share Posted 8 June , 2010 I am trying to find out what information I can on SERGEANT PO/269/S ERNEST WILLIAM CHAPLIN RMLI. I know he served in WW1 and he is recorded as receiving the 1914/15 Star, BMW and Victory Medal. Where would I go to find out more of his military history? He was discharged in 1919. michaeldr Posted 8 June , 2010 Share Posted 8 June , 2010 Where would I go to find out more of his military history? Phil, Looks like Kew should be your first stop Quote: Papers for Portsmouth Division Short Service are held at NA Kew in ADM157. A very small number is held at the FAAM. John Morcombe Posted 9 June , 2010 Share Posted 9 June , 2010 I have a copy of his ADM/159 which I can forward, if not too late & you've already bought it from TNA.
