ghchurcher Posted 18 March , 2015 Share Posted 18 March , 2015 Loads of medals were copied in this cast method during the 1970s and 1980s and I remember seeing them in markets and fairs etc. True there were many more copy german medals than british medals, though Victorian ones were more prevalent, and there never seemed to be any rhyme nor reason to why they chose to copy a particular medal. They were very cheaply made and all cost the same as I recall. The quality and give away tram lines to the rim where the two halves were joined does however make this a blindingly obvious copy, and they were not therefore, I believe, ever made with the intention therefore to deceive !
