NeilEvans Posted 1 June , 2010 Share Posted 1 June , 2010 I've a got a medal pair to this chap. Corporal, SE-28082, Ronaleger Cumming, A.V.C. The MiC shows his name as Ronaleger! Never heard of this first name. No futher records are available to a Ronaleger. What other first name could this be, if indeed Ronaleger is wrong. Can you trace him? apwright Posted 1 June , 2010 Share Posted 1 June , 2010 Ancestry's not working for me at the moment, but FreeBMD says that a Ronaleyn [sic] J CUMMING married Louisa A ADAMS in Birkenhead in Q3 1916. Adrian
River97 Posted 1 June , 2010 Share Posted 1 June , 2010 Neil, That certainly is an unusual first name. Had a look also on Ancestry and there's nothing, not even on the census. Maybe he is one of the many who travelled from around the world to enlist in the British Army. Cheers Andy. [Edit]: As above, maybe there is some info on a census, nice one Adrian. NeilEvans Posted 1 June , 2010 Author Share Posted 1 June , 2010 Adrian, Cheers. Looks like he was born 1881, Liverpool, Son of Hugh L and Fanny A Cumming. I have him in the 1891 at Litherland, Lancs. Nothing in 1881, if born prior to the census, and the 1901 census. Neil Update: Roadleyn in 1901. Again in L'pool area
