Can someone please translate a query?

Hi

I have received an email but do not understand it. I am presuming it is a query although there are no question marks in the text. The only part I think I've worked out is that it is something to do with a school project about McDowell Norman Kenneth . Can someone translate it for me? If it is a query then I would like to help if I can.

Thank you.

Barbara

Beste,

Vriendelijke groeten

We learned that this person 25/08/1916 marched to the depot has RAMS, now the question is whether you can help us in this project with some info on this soldier.

Kind regards

wereldoorlog is world war. they have obviously chosen a soldier to research and need some help about him. Should RAMS be RAMC? Unfind a MIC for this man in a quick look and he does not seem to have been a casualty.

Thanks for the replies and thank you poppy3 for finding him, I haven't had much chance today as shortly after I posted I was called away by hubby - it appears it was a good day for clearing out the garden shed

Norman must have served with the 14th Australian Field Ambulance [AAMC]. I know the unit was attached to the 14th Australian Brigade of the 5th Australian Division and I found this on him but I do not research the Australian Medical Corps so hopefully that will help. I hope they can read English.

Thanks again

Barbara
