MartinThwaite Posted 21 May , 2010 Share Posted 21 May , 2010 Hello Pals, Can anyone help narrow down which Field Ambulance RAMC was supporting 2nd Guards Bde on 15 Sep 1916 for the attack at Ginchy. I can see from LLT that those listed above were supporting the Guards Division at that time. Also any clues as to the CCS?? Any info will be much appreciated. Regards, Martin
Tyneside Chinaman Posted 21 May , 2010 Share Posted 21 May , 2010 Hi I would suggest that you also check units on the flanks as invariably casualties went to the nearest facility. My Gfthr was serving in 8 Green Howards and when wounded in October 16 ended up in 50 Divisional Rest Station. 50 Div were on the right of 23 Div. regards John
sotonmate Posted 21 May , 2010 Share Posted 21 May , 2010 M There may well be the info you need in the HQ Asst Director Medical Services War Diary for that period,WO95/1201. The three FAs you quote are all contained in WO95/1207. Sotonmate
