Dear all,

I am trying to find anything about the following soldier:

Private Fred WATSON

I know her served with the West Yorkshire Regiment (as service number 30553) and then in the Labour Corps (as 11281) and that he was entitled to the pair but that is all I can locate (can't see a service or pension record).

Can anyone tell me anything about him please?

Many thanks.

Here goes.

Joined and posted to the 22nd Batt West Yorkshire Regt with number 30553 in April/May 1916, so straight into the 22nd Batt, he may well have come from another home based Regiment at this time as a few that formed the 22nd Batt also came from the York and Lanc, Lincolnshire Regt, ect.

Then onto the Labour Corps in May 1917 with the number 11281, been in the 18th or 19th Labour Corps.

Regards as always

Kevin
