roverp5 Posted 18 May , 2010 Share Posted 18 May , 2010 Hi all, I have had a military medal in my collection for some years now, and know nothing about it. It was awarded to Gunner 73597 H Lindley, C.83 Brigade, RFA. Excuse my ignorance, but is C83 something like 'company 83'? Does any one know anything about this company? I would be interested to hear. Many thanks.
ianjonesncl Posted 18 May , 2010 Share Posted 18 May , 2010 C.83 Brigade, RFA. Excuse my ignorance, but is C83 something like 'company 83'? Does any one know anything about this company? I would be C Battery 83rd Brigade Royal Field Artillery. A battery is a company equivalent, and an Artillery Brigade is a battalion equivalent. Information from Long Long Trail HERE on what an Artillery Brigade consisted of. Information on 83rd Brigade RFA can be found HERE
