sotonmate Posted 8 May , 2010 Share Posted 8 May , 2010 Vincenzo Welcome to the Forum ! Woolston was torpedoed without warning by German submarine UC52 whilst on a voyage with a cargo of sulphur from Syracuse to Messina on 14 May 1918. The ship sank with all crew of 18,including the Master,2 kms off Syracuse Harbour. It's position at sea is shown as 37.30N/12.20E in Naval records. Maybe some of the crew are buried nearby. Why are you seeking this information,is there a name you want or to know about ? Perhaps you are a diver on the wreck ? Sotonmate
