stripeyman Posted 17 April , 2010 Share Posted 17 April , 2010 Could anyone help me with a map, possibly Meaulte 1918 that shows where tanks were loaded/unloaded at the Bray Railhead. In Battleground Europe, Fricourt-Mametz, I wrongly captioned a photograph on page 163 as in the vicinity of Grove Town on the plateau between Meaulte and Happy Valley. This was in 1997 and information has now come to light that it should be the Bray Railhead. Thanks in advance, Bob Grundy
Scotty Posted 18 April , 2010 Share Posted 18 April , 2010 Hello Bob, I believe the Bray railhead was north of the town in square 10. PM me and I'll send you the sheet if needed. Scotty.

stripeyman Posted 23 April , 2010 Author Share Posted 23 April , 2010 This is one of a sequence of photos taken according to the caption in an album at The Tank Museum of The Bray Railhead. Looking at the maps that have been kindly posted it will be a difficult job in narrowing it down to do a Then & Now comparison photo. I was not aware that there was so many standard guage track. I have an idea, but what do you think ? Bob
