Hi Hellas

I may be way off the mark here but I have never come across a Field Coy with a number starting with a 3. Someone will be along to correct me though I'm sure.

Hi - Ive seen on the forum the War diary for 'A' Bty, 330th Bgd, but does anyone know if the 'B' bty, 330th exists? I've searched the Nat Arc and can't find it. Or am I looking for the wrong thing? Any help would be most welcome.

Hello Jim,

I posted a question on the forum, part of which concerned War Diaries of the 10th Battalion of the DLI. I've followed the lead here. What do I do now?

(This is really making me giddy. I hope it doesn't show.)

I was interested in the War Diary of the 10th Division DLI April 1917. Am I able to read it - or excerpts - on line, or is it only available in the National Archives?

I would appreciate your advice. Many thanks.

Patricia

Hard copy of the 1/8th Royal Scots (November 1914 to March 1919).

Originally 7th Division then 51st(Highland)Division as Pioneer Battalion.

Also their History, written in 1919,copy of which I can e-mail.

The 10 DLI War Diary is not listed at present as available for download from the Archives. Therefore, unless a member here adds it to the lists above, it will only be available at Kew, or possibly also at the regimental museum. At Kew you can copy the diaries for 20p per page, or photograph them using a camera with the flash turned OFF.

Keith

EDIT

Just seen your other thread. There is a link to a copy that you can obtain by sending a PM to another forum member.

Patricia

Jim Smithson has the relevant diary but you need to PM. However, not sure if you can PM with only 6 posts. If Jim doesn't notice yoyr post I'll PM him for the document you want.

11th Royal Warwickshires Aug 1915 to Feb 1918 includes a fascinating long extract from the diaries of Col. Collison, something I have not seen in a war diary before.
