Andrew Hesketh Posted 19 May , 2004 Share Posted 19 May , 2004 Do Reverends have MIC's? Andrew
Jock Bruce Posted 19 May , 2004 Share Posted 19 May , 2004 Yes - but I guess they were treated as officers and had to apply for their medals. No application, no MIC. Jock

Terry_Reeves Posted 19 May , 2004 Share Posted 19 May , 2004 A little off topic but with regrds to Jock's comment "No application, no MIC". I have a medal index card for Lt Col David De Lara Cohen who did not serve overseas. Needless to say it is blank except for his regimental details. Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 20 May , 2004 Share Posted 20 May , 2004 Perhaps he applied and it was ascertained he was entitled to nothing? On the subject of Vicars and medals. There were some Vicars who served with organisations such as the YMCA etc who were awarded the BWM only - they did not apply, the award was sent to them automatically.
