Remembered Today:

Pte Perry Young

Perry Young never even left Australian shores but died of illness while undergoing basic training with the 28th Battalion at Blackboy Hill Training Camp.

It seems he was from Adrossan in South Australia and also enlisted in SA but was training with a Western Australian battalion.

I'd say he died quite early on in his training as he was not yet allocated a service number.

Karrakatta Cemetery, along with Fremantle Cemetery hold the majority of those that died in the services in Western Australia.
