Heid the Ba Posted 10 March , 2010 Share Posted 10 March , 2010 I'm going there at Easter, I'm well aware of the sites etc from Hitler's War; is there anything worth seeing from the Kaiser's?
Dragon Posted 10 March , 2010 Share Posted 10 March , 2010 Not exactly from the Kaiser's, but you'll have heard of Käthe Kollwitz (the grieving parents figures near Vladslo). Her sculpture "A mother and her dead son", in a former guard house off Unter den Linden, is definitely worth seeing. (Google Neue Wache.) I posted a couple of pictures here. Have a brilliant time; it's an amazing city. (If I could choose two places to go, one would be the Holocaust Museum by Libeskind and the other would be the top of the Reichstag at midnight.) Heid the Ba Posted 10 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 10 March , 2010 I've been a couple of times before, but usually on business or with the Memsahib. I'll be in Unter den Linden so I may go to Neue Wache. I might go to the Reichstag at night but I'll skip the Holocaust Museum.
