BrendanLee Posted 9 March , 2010 Share Posted 9 March , 2010 Hi, Looking for information on WALTER WRIGHT, Mercantile Marine Reserve, H.M. Yacht "Helga", died 19/10/1918. Listed on the CWGC site as originally from West Kilbride, Ayrshire. He is commemorated in the Special memorial in Dean's Grange Cemetery Ireland along side a soldier KIA in the 1916 Rising. He died two years after the Rising and I can find no information connecting him with the Rising. The Helga was used to shell the Rebels during the 1916 Rising and also was one of the rescue boats which went to the aid of the RMS Leinster. I am trying to find out how Walter Wright died, he died 9 days after the HMS Leinster rescue. I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light.
