archangel9 Posted 6 March , 2010 Share Posted 6 March , 2010 Just picked up a little gem in my local library, "1916 Rebellion Handbook", “First published 1916 by Weekly Irish Times. This edition published 1998 by The Mourne River Press.” I believe the book is hard enough to find. So far I’ve only had a quick browse and read the list of contents, but amongst other things it contains – Official Casualty Lists – Military, RIC, DMP and GR. Honours and awards to Military and Police. Rebels killed while fighting Prisoners deported, detained and released. Courts martial. Happy to do look ups while I have the book. corisande Posted 6 March , 2010 Share Posted 6 March , 2010 Inertia and failure to do the research has stopped me buying this book Does anyone know the difference between 1916 Easter Rebellion Handbook (ISBN: 9780965088169) by Declan Kiberd and 1916 Rebellion Handbook (ISBN: 1902090055 / 1-902090-05-5) by Declan Kiberd The first is published by Robert R Knapp and only costs about £5 with postage The second published by Mourne River Press and costs around £18 with postage A number of each are available
auchonvillerssomme Posted 7 March , 2010 Share Posted 7 March , 2010 Why do they sell for from 89p to 8 quid in the US and 33 quid in Ireland?
corisande Posted 7 March , 2010 Share Posted 7 March , 2010 Why do they sell for from 89p to 8 quid in the US and 33 quid in Ireland? As far as I can see the cheaper one is ISBN: 9780965088169 and the more expensive one ISBN: 1902090055. What I am trying to find out is, are they the same book, just different printings, and is the content different?

Thanks for that. Unless anyone advises otherwise, I assume they are the same, and I will buy the cheaper
