enoch beard Posted 25 July , 2010 Share Posted 25 July , 2010 pte heath and his pal jim hadley were lying down firing when pte heath said ' oh jim ive got a clout' 'where?' said pte hadley.' ive got in the back and im dying' say pte heath pte hadley pulled him 30 yards into a ditch and found he had been wounded in the back and the right shoulder. he was sent to back to the uk (connaught hospital aldershot) and died about 5 weeks later Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
