Hi I have a single British War Medal to:

Lieut E.R.LINGEN-BURTON R.N.R.

I have discovered some info in that he was granted by the King, London Gazette 1919, to bear the Arms of Burton-his family seem quite well known in the Shrewsbury, Shropshire area and wondered if anyone had any further information on him.

I initially listed this query under 'Soldiers' and many thanks David for pointing me in the right direction and for the information provided,

kind regards

Peter

RNR service records are offline. They can be found in ADM 240 at the UK National Archives, Kew; possibly supplimented with extra details in ADM 340.
