I need your help?

I have researched the Battle of Bellewaarde 16th June 1915 from the Northumberland Fusiliers point of view.

To be able to complete a project on this battle I need information about the 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment

Any information will be of great help

Long time since I've visited. Am currently researching  2nd Lt. R. O . Pearson - a former Royal College of Art student - who had only recently been commissioned and did not survive the push on Bellewaarde. I am wondering if anyone knows if the battalion war diaries for  14/15/16 June 1916 mention him specifically?

It's clear from the "soldier's effects" documents on Ancestry site that he was "Presumed dead" so presumably his body was not found.

Anyone interested in this battalion may be interested in a letter written by him to a friend held by Berkshire archives:

Would be very grateful for any info on locating the diaries so I can work this out for myself.

Hi

At this time the battalion was in billets at Buire but providing working parties.

I think you may mean 1915

There is 4 pages in the diary for his date of death, merely recorded as 'missing'
