Pete,

I think Andy Pay says in the 'other thread' that Mark mentioned, these lists turn up randomly in soldiers files, such as those on Ancestry. That is where the one I posted comes from. So random are they that very often the list bears no relationship to the man who's papers they are filed in.

The one I posted doesn't even list any other soldiers from the same regiment, let alone the same battalion!

It is very much pot luck.

They are useful though and the codes that accompany entries of sickness or wounding on soldiers papers correspond to these lists.
