Remembered Today:

Floreffe Abbey

In the attic of Floreffe's abbey in Belgium, there is a graffiti, a drawing. It (he) is signed " WILLIAM WHELAN FROM N.WALES LATE of RHYL in 25/12/18 Royal Welsh Fusiliers 34 Batt Machine Gun Corps " This drawing represents a person of profile, with a long beard and a big pipe. Probably a self-portrait.

I would want to know more about it on this person. Whom was it? Why was it (he) to Floreffe in Belgium at this moment there? Why was his(her) regiment there? The history of regiment? Has he still relatives? When he was born and when he died. In what place?

Many questions which will find, I wish it, an answer. If you do not know how to help me, who can make(do) him(it)?

Beforehand I thank you for the help(assistant) for

which I hope you will bring me. My mailing address:
