David McCallion Posted 16 February , 2010 Share Posted 16 February , 2010 Hello Chaps just about to start setting up a major event in Ballymena The first of this important year with the 70th of Dunkirk and the 65th Anniversary of the end of World War 2 I will be converting the whole centre gallery of the Mid Antrim Museum (The Braid its the new glass fronted building attached on to the old town hall) in to a War Museum covering both World Wars opening to the public on Monday 1st March 2010 to Saturday 10th April 2010 and yes its open over Easter a 6 week long event Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm Saturdays 10am to 4.30pm Closed Sundays Easter Saturday a family day out with a childrens VE Day street party The longest so far a step closer and yes I will have some kit thats never been out on display as yet so it wont disapoint the regular visitors please come out and support the event and I hope that the relevant agencies will be attending at some stage and may be just may be this could put the permanent War Museum on the home run If I can show the sheer interest in our heritage it can make a difference To all of you have helped in any way so far I would like to say thank you yours Davey www.waryearsremembered.co.uk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
