Hello Chaps just about to start setting up a major event in Ballymena

The first of this important year with the 70th of Dunkirk and

the 65th Anniversary of the end of World War 2

I will be converting the whole centre gallery of the Mid Antrim Museum

(The Braid its the new glass fronted building attached on to the old town hall)

in to a War Museum covering both World Wars

opening to the public on Monday 1st March 2010 to

Saturday 10th April 2010 and yes its open over Easter a 6 week long event

Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm

Saturdays 10am to 4.30pm

Closed Sundays

Easter Saturday a family day out with a childrens VE Day street party

The longest so far a step closer and yes I will have some kit thats never been

out on display as yet so it wont disapoint the regular visitors

please come out and support the event and I hope that the relevant agencies

will be attending at some stage and may be just may be this could put the

permanent War Museum on the home run

If I can show the sheer interest in our heritage it can make a difference

To all of you have helped in any way so far I would like to say thank you

yours

Davey

A six weeks long 'museum' event. That's brilliant Davey.

Visited the War Years Remembered exhibition on Thursday.

This is extremely worthwhile visiting. Entry is free and the gear

is real museum quality stuff. If you can get to Ballymena, call

in and see it.
