Guest meltam Posted 2 March , 2003 Share Posted 2 March , 2003 Could anyone enlighten me as to the 1st manchesters during the ww1 period. Mr Great Grandfather (Private George Irvine Higginbotham) was a private in the army and he listed his battalion on his marriage certificate as the 1st manchesters, stationed at Fort George Guernsey in 1926. I havent been able to find anything relating to them as yet. Any information would be greatly appreciated
