nthornton1979 Posted 7 February , 2010 Share Posted 7 February , 2010 I am looking for anything on this Battalion between their arrival in France and the 24th April 1917. My chap was wounded on this day - The attack on Nash Alley. Does anyone have the war diaries for this Battalion or any books that mention their time in France (ie Battalion/Regiment/Divisional history) ? Many thanks Neil
bmac Posted 7 February , 2010 Share Posted 7 February , 2010 Neither the battalion nor the 46th Division has a history. Member Andrew Thornton has an interest in the Division and the Staffordshire Territorials and it may be worthwhile sending him a PM.
nthornton1979 Posted 8 February , 2010 Author Share Posted 8 February , 2010 Many thanks Bill, I've been looking for a book but could find one. That explains why I actually read Andrews fantastic write-up on his Great Grandfather (On Hellfire corner) and tried to send an e-mail but it kept coming back as an error. I'll send one via the forum. Thanks again Neil
