Robert Dunlop Posted 11 May , 2004 Share Posted 11 May , 2004 I know that 89th Brigade was detached and fought in the Battle of Lys. Whereabouts were 90th and 91st Brigades during the above dates? Many thanks Robert
Greenwoodman Posted 11 May , 2004 Share Posted 11 May , 2004 Hi Robert From Dec 1915, 91st Bde went to 7th Div, and was replaced by 21st Bde. Both 21st and 90th brigades were in the Salient holding the line. Latter part of April they were around Spoil Bank and Busseboom, and retreated from the ground won at the Battle of Messines. Involved in a fair bit of fighting, but not in battles for which battle honours were awarded. Is that OK?
Robert Dunlop Posted 11 May , 2004 Author Share Posted 11 May , 2004 Yes, that is very helpful. Thank you. I was only after the approximate locations. Do you know if 90th Brigade came down in the area north of Albert anytime in mid-1918? Robert
Greenwoodman Posted 12 May , 2004 Share Posted 12 May , 2004 Hi Robert Unfortunately the detailed stuff I have relates just to April 1918. I have several books I've yet to wade through. If I come across later 30thDiv/90thBde movements I'll let you know.
