jlister Posted 27 January , 2010 Share Posted 27 January , 2010 Having gone through the medals belonging to a long lost relative that included WW1 medals and a Military Cross, I have come accross the following medal (picture attached) The inscription reads " Transeat In Exemplium" and is in what appears to be brass. The is no name of to whom it was issued on the rim. If anyone out there can help me, I'll be most appreciative. Many thanks John Lister Auckland, New Zealand

daggers Posted 27 January , 2010 Share Posted 27 January , 2010 When I saw the first posting earlier I thought that ribbon looks like the Gunners' zigzag, as on the tie, but could not link it to the medal itself. I now know better. We live and learn.
