marc coene Posted 3 January , 2010 Share Posted 3 January , 2010 Hello, Do any forum Pal's have any photographs of Zillebeke during WW1? Thank you in anticipation Soren Hello, I'm living in Zillebeke at Manor Farm a place where a lot of guns took their position. Only in April 1918 the Germans took the farm but that time it was completely destroyed. This photos I received with the courtesy of Mr Walker whor has them from his grandfather, who was postioned as Captain 4 months at Manor Farm in Zillebeke. He took photos of all kind of destroyed buildings. On one you can see the rests of Manor Farm in Zillebeke. On the other one you can see a sight on Zillebeke Lake where also the destroyed church of Zillebeke is visible. If you would still receive or have other photos of Zillebeke in your archive please give me a sign. Regards, Marc
